Welcome to the Missoula Strikers Soccer Association
We are a non-profit group serving the youth soccer community of Missoula, Montana. We teach, develop, and promote the game of soccer. Our primary objective is to develop soccer players in a constructive environment conducive to the player's positive mental and physical health.
We have two programs - the Missoula Strikers and Micro-Strikers, and to register, look below.
The Missoula Strikers is a competitive, traveling program for players U11 and older. Competitive teams play their regular season from April through June. Tryouts are held each Fall to select teams for the following Spring. Practices for the Spring season begin the first week of January with teams practicing at least one night per week indoors. Typically three practices a week are held from mid-March until the end of the season.
Two games are played most Saturdays, with most requiring out-of-town travel. Three weekend tournaments are typically scheduled during the season. Summer and Fall tournaments are at the discretion of the coach and team.
For the upcoming season , girls and boys teams are planned for U11 through U18. Strikers will create as many teams as possible to accommodate as many players as possible.
Micro-Strikers Soccer happens in the Fall and is for all kids ages 5-12 (grades K-6) who want to learn, have fun,and play soccer. It emphasizes games with small sides and free-flowing play. Teaching and learning focuses on the basic soccer skills at steps appropriate for the age group.
Playing small-sided soccer is the best way for kids to learn basic dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. Kids get more time with the ball in practice and games. Every kid is important in small-sided Micro Striker games. They all get the opportunity to score, defend and be a vital part of a team.
