Strikers Dome
As many of you know, the club is developing indoor training facilities. We have an opportunity to purchase the "bubble" from the Missoula Athletic Club, and move it to a new location. We have begun negotiating with the Missoula County Public School administration, and hope to find a school property site to put the dome. MCPS is interested in partnering with us on the project. We will use the dome after school and on weekends, and they will use it during school hours. The dome will be heated, with a turfed playing surface (artificial grass), ideal for training, scrimmaging, and playing games on.
We feel confident that the club can afford to purchase and maintain the dome. We will be applying for a bank loan, and finance the project over the next 10 years. The income to pay for the project will come from Striker fees (hopefully little or no increase), as well as new Academy programs, weekend and night rental time to other users, and club fund raisers. In fact, if you are able to help us out right now, with a special donation, we are soliciting funds for the down payment on the loan.
We are very excited to pursue this opportunity. It will be a few weeks before we know if it is a final deal, but in the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions, let us know.
