Micro Strikers Soccer is for all kids ages 5-12 (grades Pre-5th) who want to learn, have fun,and play soccer. It emphasizes games with small sides and free-flowing play. Teaching and learning focuses on the basic soccer skills at steps appropriate for the age group.
Playing small-sided soccer is the best way for kids to learn basic dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. Kids get more time with the ball in practice and games. Every kid is important in small-sided Micro Striker games. They all get the opportunity to score, defend and be a vital part of a team. Micro Striker players are coached by volunteers, but are offered a training session.
The cost of MicroStrikers is $50 for the first child in a family, $40 for every other child.
All games are played at Playfair park. Practice area will vary depending on what area of town you live or go to school (first come first serve). The amount of practices depend on age of child; younger children will practice once a week for 45 minutes to an hour. Older children may practice for an hour two times a week. This all depends on their coaches. Players will be called one week in advance of first game.
