About Strikers

Missoula Strikers has been providing competitive youth soccer in Montana since 1982.  We teach, develop, and promote the game of soccer for all skill levels and ages.  We offer Micro Strikers, a recreational program, for ages 5 to 12, our more advanced Strikers Academy program for ages 8 to 11, and our Competitive Program for kids ages 12 to 18 who want to play on a competitive, traveling soccer team.  The goal of the Missoula Strikers is to enhance players' skill levels, technical abilities, and tactical awareness, both as individuals and as team members.  With training provided by some of the best coaches in Montana, Strikers offers players a high-quality, competitive, and enjoyable soccer experience.

Strikers' mission statement:

Missoula Strikers Soccer Association is a nonprofit organization committed to helping develop youth into technically and tactically superior soccer players and into hard working, respectful young people, while providing a fun and united club environment.

Consistent with this mission and with recommendations from the US Soccer Federation, Strikers is placing a greater emphasis on player development.  Our revamped program is designed to help maximize the technical ability and tactical understanding of every player.  And the vast majority of this development occurs in practice.  In practice, we want our players to have access to more of our coaching staff and more advanced training through crossover training, mixed age-group training and specialized practice sessions.  Our teams will usually practice at the same time and place to facilitate our cooperative training approach.  Players and teams will learn to compete with high intensity, and we will have a renewed focus on skills development.  Above all, training sessions will be fun!

All of this leads to developing better soccer players and fielding more competitive teams.
