Nate grew up in Missoula, playing for Strikers from U-14 through U-19 and earning All-State honors as Sentinel High School’s goalkeeper during his senior season. From 2009- 2011, Nate played for Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO (with Strikers coach Keane Hamilton), winning the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship. In 2010, Nate was named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team. After that, Nate transferred to Whitworth University to play with another Strikers coach, Justin Mikkola, where they won the conference championship in Nate’s Junior and Senior season.
Nate is an experienced goalkeeper coach, having been the goalkeeper coach for the Durango Youth Soccer Association in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Nate was an assistant coach for both the boys’ and the girls’ teams at Sentinel High School this past season, and he has coached summer soccer camps as well. Nate is especially excited about coaching the U16 boys team this spring, after seeing many of the players compete for their high school teams this fall. “They have tons of skills and have a great understanding of how to play with one another. The fact they have played together for such a long time is a huge plus as well. With the skills and the team closeness, this group of guys will be a blast to coach!”
